Classical Medley
It takes only a few lines before getting a sugar-race cutesy names of the characters in this manga: Prince Soprano, Alto his bodyguards, his moon Mezzo-dragon (Medley Classic, get it?). The story, fortunately, does not increase a little above the cringe-inducing naming scheme. Soprano and Alto are more than prince and bodyguards, who are best friends. In fifteen High is a very accomplished young warrior, which is part of the king’s quintet of knights, and Soprano is, well, you get Soprano is good at being a spoiled prince, and are used to not having to do much or think for itself.
Invited to a ceremony for her father the king, Soprano and Alto meet with the king and his witch wife, the mother of Soprano, to renew the stamp of a monster known as Sinistra. The priest who meets there is no bishop, but rather his son, in reinforcing his sick father. Narrative for the sake of the audience, Soprano has not paid attention in school and does not know the “oldest fairytale of them all,” a story in the wake of his country, or so says High.
There were two orbs, the world of darkness, Sinistra, and the orb of light, Diritto. Diritto Sinistra locked ultimately, to end their evil ways. Sinistra is sealed in the basement of the palace and is now diritto a necklace that each king of Classical inherits guard. It is the centennial of that event (apparently, these people do not have a real sense of history if they think that age).
Naturally, things go wrong. Sinistra embedded in the king, while diritto makes a home in Alto, and the game is underway. Alto, Mezzo Soprano and barely escape, thanks to the queen that the king had faced. On the Run, Upper and Mezzo Soprano are trying to get to his older brother, serious, so you can help save the king. In the meantime, King has managed to captivate his wife, his bodyguard and the quintet, the king of private guards, setting them after the prince and his friends. High knows he has to hide the prince, so obviously we’re going to put it into a dress, as it is not a cliché. Hunting through the kingdom, High is the discovery of what is the control diritto while the Sinistra is busy trying to recover fully their power.
The story is not bad, a stock of fancy the idea has been done before. The real problem here is the art, and you know it when you see the Chibi cover. The art does not fit into this story at all. If he was not told Soprano and Alto were fifteen, which placed him at the age of seven or eight. The king and his wife seem that it is fifteen. The whole world looks like a group of students from grade to run. The faces are nice enough, if you ignore the hair Soprano (honestly, I thought that he had not Spock ears and was able to find out why he was the only one), but the bodies … Well, let’s say there is no anatomy at all. There are only straight limbs without definition, with the exception of the queen with its larger-than-your-head breasts. No, seriously. There is a table with the quintet of the head and the queen’s side Boob and is not competitive.
CMX strips to the sound effects and puts the translation into English, for those who like to know these things. Unless the queen of clothing, this would do well to the younger audience, but an older reader is more likely to find a Medley Classic atonal dissent.
