Lawyers for both sides are ready to continue their legal battle over Google Inc.’s effort to obtain the digital rights to millions of out-of-print books.
The hearing is set for Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan.
Judge Denny Chin plans to set a timetable to define how the debate will proceed.
An agreement of 125 million dollars between Google and authors and publishers of the United States is being renegotiated. The parties have agreed to return to the drawing board after the government of the United States said it seemed the agreement violates antitrust laws.
Justice Department officials will be part of the new negotiations.
