Last year, the writer Raven Gregory brings a touch of Lewis Carroll today in the stories of Wonderland in Zenescope’s “Return to Wonderland.” Liddle’s book Alice’s daughter followed her trip to Cali in the same twisted world of her mother had known before she visited. Gregory continued with the project “Tales of Wonder,” a series of three shots, one that describes the origins of the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland before he left his stamp on them. Now, Cali’s journey continues in “Beyond Wonderland,” and CBR News caught up with Gregory to get the issue on the six miniseries, the first two parts of which are on sale now.

During his first visit to Wonderland, Cali Liddle made a surprising discovery: Wonderland is the source of all the madness and dementia in the real world. What is more, his mother Alicia gradual descent into madness goes back to the time the elder Liddle of the past in that twisted dimension. Come “Beyond Wonderland”, the young Cali has lost everything.

“Her mother, Alice, committed suicide in a vain attempt to save his daughter of their own destiny,” said Gregory CBR. “His father was murdered by his adulterous brother, Johnny,” Johnny Cali after they sacrificed to the mirror looking glass before she and her boyfriend Brandon set for New York City. “Along the way, she discovers she is pregnant, and that a piece of the wonders of fact could have come out in the real world.”

Months after returning from the area of madness known as Wonderland, a weary and bitter Cali does his best to earn some semblance of normal life in the city that never sleeps. “But soon realizes that things in his new life is going to get really bad, really fast,” Gregory mockery. “Something in the area of insanity has found its way and Cali knows that it could very well be the only one who has the opportunity to send them back.”
Gregory said his Wonderland stories have been and continue to be directly influenced by the original novel, “Alice’s Adventures Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass”, but added, “It was not long for the story to venture into new and uncharted territories. The story really has become a creature all its own with its own mythology Lovecraft-like. ”

And while Gregory foresees a number of spin-offs and shots-one in the series’ future, he promised that the saga Wonderland Zenescope not continue forever. “We have defined a goal in mind for the series and all, in one way or another , Is leading us there. ”

Scott Campbell,” Gregory said. Upcoming topics feature guest covers by Mike Deodato, Jr. and Joe Benitez, among others. “Most of these guys I’ve met while running the convention circuit over the years and have been supportive, but nothing of me and my books and the fact that they take the time to make these surprising covers of a book indie really means the world to me. ”
“Beyond Wonderland” is not the only Raven Gregory project on the horizon. It is a story that contribute to BOOM!
