At a time of great change, and in this small town in Colorado, Amy found herself trapped in the struggle between past and present, young and old, Jocks and geeks, hippies and the establishment, including the life and death. And during this summer an unforgettable, both mother and daughter are grown.
REVIEW:
Amy is finally breaking free from his mother, or what he thinks, as they are en route to college in California. Amy is excited about her trip and can not be free of her mother, Francine fast enough.
However, Francine wants to cling to Amy, as long as he can. Amy and Francie hit a bump in the road when his 1958 Pontiac Bonneville is broken down into warm, Colorado. They are part of a follow-up to its primary mission, as they wait in a car part that needs to be ordered, which could take more than a week. Amy is crushed, but Francine look at this as another adventure. Francie soon makes friends with Bonnie, who tells her of labor that can seize an opportunity while waiting in his car to be repaired. The opportunity may include both mother and daughter. They can be caregivers in a funeral home, with free room and board. Amy is definitely Creeper, but Francie look at this as a way to save money to pay for the repair of automobiles.
Amy now feels trapped and does not have the funds to get out of California on its own. His mother has taken this small town and is starting to look like Francine could never leave. Amy begins to look to his mother in a new light, and does not like what he sees. His mother has always been fun and a little different from all the other moms – now realizes why. There has always been a gap between Amy and her mother – especially when Amy became a born-again Christian. His mother wanted no part of it, but Amy sought in the form of testimony from her.
Amy Francine and grow through the unexpected situations they faced. Amy discovers that really do not have the unconditional love of Christ within their hearts, but the sentence. It’s a hard lesson to learn. Francine realizes that she is the mother in this regard and must begin to act like him. She has to look for what is best for her daughter Amy.
This is definitely a story of discovery, love and maturity. A mother-daughter story and much more. You definably have to check it out.
